Virtual Mobility Agency (County Tipperary - Irl)

Within the scope of the MOVE project, a Virtual Mobility Agency was set up within the Tipperary Energy Agency to work as a platform to enable the local projects to be carried out successfully.

The first step for the Virtual Mobilility Agency was to acquire the skills and the tools to make educated decisions and learn about best practice approaches to projects in other countries.

The Mobility Management skills obtained were through E-atomium and the workshop based E-learning platform E-tream. Out of the Tipperary Energy Agency, 4 people carried out this training in Mobility Management. Other skills were developed with the SUMO process and the idea of logically following the project process from start to finish has really set projects on the right track and identified when/if they were off course.

The Virtual Mobility Agency has been responsible not only for the Energy Balance, the Implementation of the Local Projects and their Dissemination within MOVE.

It has also acted as a catalyst to link in with other European Projects, to use the Mobility Management skills to present ideas to a wider audience and to use the SUMO methodology to implement other mobility management projects.
