The quality of the environment depends strongly on the mobility and on the efficiency of the infrastructures and the means of transport.

A study conducted by the ACI (Italian Car Club) in the year 2000 pointed out a very critical situation referred to the motorization rate (vehicles number/inhabitant number) in the biggest centres of the Province of Chieti (Chieti, Lanciano, Vasto), the excessive number of vehicles is a worrying reality and it could have serious consequences on the concentrations of benzene. 

The reduction of the use of the private car, the reduction of the number and of the length of the travels and a new  territorial planning are the guidelines shared with the strategies of the European Union and its Member States and also of the Province of Chieti.

A.L.E.S.A. joins the MOVE project to contribute in a concrete way to the sustainable mobility in the territory of the Province of Chieti.

The action of A.L.E.S.A. in the MOVE project is adressed in several directions:
