Action Plan for mobility

In close cooperation with the local steering group the plan of concrete actions for Žilina in the field of transport and mobility utilizing the measures and message of mobility management was worked out. It is the recommendation document for next 3-5 years for local municipality addressing mainly low-cost measures focused on supporting change in travel habits and road user behaviour. As Žilina has not good and sufficient infrastructure for using some transport modes (e.g. cycling), some proposed provisions required more investments as well. The monitoring of the current status of transport in Žilina, completing the Energy balance for transport and elaborating the SWOT analysis for sustainable mobility development precluded proposing the concrete measures and recommendations. Officially was the Action plan for mobility in Žilina passed to the Mayor on 29 July 2008 by the occassion of repeated signing the Mobility Charta for years 2008/2009.
