Informative Campaign

The A.L.E.S.A., in its dissemination action, organized from October 2006 to May 2007 a series of meetings in the upper-schools of the Province of Chieti propaedeutic to the choice of the school where the 'Without car school day' project will set up.

Evaluating the observations and the data gathered in the course of the mobility student study, A.L.E.S.A. has chosen 15 upper-schools located in three principal towns of the Province of Chieti, (Chieti, Lanciano, Vasto).

In these selected upper-schools the staff of A.L.E.S.A. organized frontal lessons in the course of it has been explained to the students the concept of the sustainable mobility and the alternative means of transport that can be used for working out an alternative solution to mobility problems such as traffic and pollution.

In detail, after the presentation of the Move project, the partnership, the objectives and the role of the A.L.E.S.A., we developed an informative path starting from the damages caused by pollution and greenhouse gases to the envinronment and to the health to show the possible solutions as the use of biodiesel, the strenghthening of the local transport, the introduction of the mobility manager and the use of alternative transport modes as car sharing, car pooling and bike sharing.

A.L.E.S.A. organized 2 meetings in every school for a total of 30 meetings and thanks to these frontal lessons the staff could test a particular sensibility of the students towards these themes but a superficial knowledge about the sustainable mobility, this is the reason why the campaign has been very useful.
