Virtual Mobility Agency

The Virtual Mobility Agency, managed by A.L.E.S.A.'s staff, acts as a local platform where mobility services are initiated, organized and provided. Moreover, it will make possible to start new projects fostering new and innovative approaches in the transport field and it will support the Local Authorities in the actions that they are carrying out about sustainable mobility.

The Virtual Mobility Agency developed a local network with several partners involving:

• The Province of Chieti
• Local Agenda 21
• Local public transport companies: A.R.P.A. (Regional Public Transport Company), Sangritana Inc. (State Railway Company for the Sangro-Adriatic Area), La Panoramica Transport Company, Donato Di Fonzo Transport Company and F.lli Napoleone Transport Company
• Fox Petroli Company (local manufacturer of Biodiesel)

The Virtual Mobility Agency has the following tasks:

• Carry out projects to promote efficient use of energy in transport
• Evaluate consequences to greenhouse gas emissions of different transport modes
• Estimate people's awareness of alternative transport modes
• Training and dissemination towards all the target groups about costs and health effects of the actual transport behaviours
• Give information and training to the Local Authorities and the general public

The Virtual Mobility Agency operates on two level:
